Last February 23rd took place in the Italian Parliament in Rome the FPSC Seminar \u201cUnaccompanied Minors. Italian and international dramas\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n This Seminar addressed a reality exponentially exacerbating the hard situation minor refugees live, as when they are not accompanied are in risk of suffering serious ways of exploitation, illegal labour, prostitution and sexual abuse.<\/p>\n It gathered experts from Italy and Europe in order to deepen on an extremely serious topic, offering an opportunity to create dialogue that was useful to better understand the situation of those unaccompanied minors refugees or migrants. \nAmong the speakers were Jumana Trad<\/strong>, President of Foundation for the Social Promotion of Culture (FPSC); Carmen Seoane<\/strong>, from FPSC\u2019s Humanitarian Aid Department; Sandra Zampa<\/strong>, Vice president of the Bicameral Children\u2019s Commission; Livia Turco<\/strong>, Inmigration expert; Raffaella Milano<\/strong>, President of Save the Children;\u00a0 Luigi Vignali<\/strong>, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Magda Di Renzo<\/strong>, from Reception Crisis; and Lia Quartapelle<\/strong>, from International Adoptions; Prefect Angelo Malandrino<\/strong>; Serenella Pesarin<\/strong>, Juvenile justice expert; and Maria Rita Munizzi del Moige<\/strong>, Magda Di Renzo<\/strong> and Pierluigi Bartolomei<\/strong>, from ELIS Professional School. Throughout the seminar, the experts expressed different ideas fitting in today\u2019s drama of unaccompanied minors who are refugees or migrants, as well as the main needs and challenges that must be faced to relieve its causes and negative consequences; \u201cone in three refugees is a child. 10.000 children have disappeared<\/em>\u201d (Jumana Trad, FPSC);\u201ca wise country has to invest in those entrepreneur and able minors<\/em>\u201d (Sandra Zampa, Vice president of the Bicameral Children\u2019s Commission); \u201cthe priority is to guarantee minors have psychological and school assitance<\/em>\u201d (Raffaella Milano, Save the Children); \u201cto dialogue with the minors\u2019 home countries to save lives<\/em>\u201d (Luigi Vignali, Ministry of Foreign Affairs); \u201cto invest in education In the home countries to lessen the migration phenomenon<\/em>\u201d (Lia Quartapelle, International Adoptions).
