April 7<\/strong> is World Health Day<\/strong>. Currently, Social Promotion has four projects directly related to this sector, two in Ethiopia, one in Lebanon and one in Jordan, which seeks to consolidate the objective pursued by WHO that health would be accessible and quality for all people, anywhere in the world:<\/p>\n

\u201cAccess to essential and quality care and financial protection not only improves the health of people and their life expectancy but also protects countries from epidemics, reduces poverty and the risk of hunger, creates jobs, boosts economic growth and promotes gender equality.\u201d (WHO)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Thus, in Ethiopia<\/strong>, the work of Social Promotion aims to improve the quality of health services in Addis Ababa by training health workers<\/a> and the acquisition of specialized material and training for its use<\/a>, which will help reduce maternal and infant mortality and strengthen the technical team.<\/p>\n

In the field of humanitarian aid, Social Promotion, in consortium with International Medical Corps UK (IMC), as leader, and \u201cPremi\u00e8re Urgence-Aide M\u00e9dicale Internationale\u201d (PU-AMI), works in Lebanon<\/strong>, in order to improve access to quality services in primary health care, community health and mental health services for Syrian refugees and other vulnerable populations in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, Akkar, Tripoli, Bekaa and the South. In particular, the Foundation focuses on improving the welfare of Syrian refugees and vulnerable populations through the provision of health services and psychosocial support (MHPSS)<\/a> in Zahl\u00e9 (Bekaa Valley).<\/p>\n

Finally, in Jordan<\/strong>, Social Promotion actions are aimed at improving the living conditions of people with disabilities<\/a> in the Za’atari and Azraq refugee camps, and vulnerable local people, especially children with spine bifida and\/or cerebral palsy. To this end, physiotherapy sessions, psychosocial support sessions for parents, guardians, and caregivers of children receiving treatment, and recreational-inclusive activities based on artistic techniques (crafts and painting, mainly) will be held.<\/p>\n
