Social Promotion Foundation<\/strong> joins the celebration of the World Health Day<\/strong>, which is celebrated on April 7.<\/p>\n

SDG 3 of the 2030 Agenda establishes as a priority the need to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.<\/p>\n

However, the health inequalities present in many regions of the world have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 situation , as the impact of the pandemic has been much more severe in those communities that were already vulnerable. In these places exposed to the disease and with little access to quality health services, the likelihood of experiencing serious adverse consequences from the restrictions and measures implemented to deal with the pandemic are also higher.<\/p>\n

It is therefore necessary to reinforce the global duty to work for a fairer world in which access to good health is a right for all people.<\/p>\n

The Foundation, committed to this objective, continues its work in the area of health and has launched a new project in Guatemala to promote access to health rights and adequate and sustainable food for the vulnerable population of the Kaqchikel ethnic group of Pamanzana\/Vista Bella, Guatemala.<\/a><\/p>\n

The project, started on March 1, thanks to the support of the Community of Madrid,<\/strong> and developed in consortium with Industrial Development Foundation (FUDI)<\/strong>, focuses on primary health care for children under 5 years of age and pregnant women, as well as on combating child malnutrition.<\/p>\n

To this end, several cycles of medical and nutritional workshops, training and workshops focused on health and nutrition, and home visits for follow-up and support will be carried out.<\/p>\n

Another initiative will be the installation of improved stoves to combat respiratory problems caused by smoke inhalation, and ecological filters will be provided to ensure access to healthy water, helping to improve living conditions and reduce the occurrence of diseases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
