In Beit Fourik, in the governorate of Nablus -north of the West Bank-, and under our Agreement for rural development in Palestine<\/u><\/strong><\/a>, financed by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), <\/strong>we have worked hand in hand with our local partners Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees (PARC) <\/strong>and Rural Women’s Development Society (RWDS)<\/strong> throughout 2021, accompanying the 16 women of their women’s cooperative in the development of a market study and the identification of training needs of its members.<\/p>\n

These activities to develop capacities in raw material processing, in terms of food safety, and in marketing, with the creation of its own brand, Tana, whose launch has already taken place at the Nablus Chamber of Commerce, has achieved its position in the local market, giving value to its excellent dairy products, yoghurt and labneh (a variety of local cheese).<\/p>\n

The power of these activities of marketing strategies together with the use of social networks, such as Facebook campaigns, are allowing to reach many more people, revaluing the cooperative’s products and making visible the importance of a healthy, traditional and sustainable diet.<\/p>\n
