Jumana Trad participates in a three-day Symposium, Be To Care,<\/b> which began yesterday in Rome, whose objective is to offer a space for reflection and action between people from public or private organizations; local, national or international; of religious inspiration or civic motivation; all contributing to social development and creating impact from different areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Be To Care is promoted by Harambee Africa International<\/b><\/span>,<\/span> on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, with the collaboration of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The president of the Foundation participated yesterday, during the first day, in the seminar: “Horizons of solidarity after the pandemic<\/i>“, showing the work carried out by the Social Promotion Foundation.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Specifically, she spoke at the table \u00abLessons learned, good ideas to share\u00bb. Along with her, Anna Chiara Moltoni<\/b> \u2013 ELIS<\/i> (Italy), Fabio Andr\u00e9s Montoya<\/b> \u2013 Interactuar<\/i> (Colombia) and Enase Okonedo<\/b> \u2013 Vice Chancellor of the Pan-Atlantic University (Nigeria<\/i>) were part of this panel.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her speech, Jumana Trad referred to the work model of the Social Promotion Foundation<\/b>: \u201cIn each country we support the protagonism of local organisations. We do not export or impose a development model, but rather we work hand in hand with local organisations, which are the ones that best know the development needs of the people in their countries.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, she explained that ” our work has a clear vocation to serve society, is aimed at all people, especially those in most vulnerable situations, regardless of their race, sex, nationality or religion, because poverty affects everyone equally without distinction.”<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

She highlighted the fact that the Foundation<\/b> carries out its activity with organizations of a very diverse nature, but always based on respect for human life (from conception to the natural death of the person).<\/span><\/p>\n

On the issue of war and violence, she stated that although there are many people destroying each other, there are still a greater number of people trying to help others in daily life.<\/span><\/p>\n

During these days, the president of the Social Promotion Foundation<\/b> has held different meetings to explore forms of collaboration. Specifically, she met on September 26 with Isabel Cela\u00e1,<\/b> the Spanish ambassador to the Holy See<\/i>, and on September 27 with the Dicastery of Integral Human Development, <\/i>during which she explained the activities of the Foundation<\/b> and the strengthening of the capacities of the local NGOs with whom it works.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
