Throughout the day, on December 17, FPSC representatives, Enric Roig (Director of Humanitarian Aid, Education for Development and Awareness) and Jos\u00e9 Luis Zatarain (Director of Communications and Volunteering) presented diverse formative sessions that were directed to students of various grades in the primary and secondary school.<\/p>\n

The initial objective of these educational sessions for development were to promote and excite sympathy, empathy and the ability to appreciate what they have, even in times of difficulty.<\/p>\n
Roig and Zatarain also emphasized the value of making commitments, while informing students about the recent activities carried out by FPSC volunteers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Representatives shed light on FPSC\u2019s activities by showcasing its activities in the framework of the co-financed by AECID agreements and the necessities of the beneficiaries, most of them children like the public to which they were presenting.<\/p>\n \u00a0 <\/a> <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n They also informed students of the humanitarian tragedy that is currently occurring in Syria, due to the conflict and humanitarian aid<\/a> that FPSC is developing in Jordan and Lebanon, especially with handicapped Syrian refugees.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n All of the classes were able to visit the photography exhibit which featured informational panels of the four agreements. The most interesting aspect of this was that the students\u2019 own teachers, who were previously given the information by FPSC, were the ones to explain FPSC\u2019s activities to their students.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n This initiative of Torrevilano School took place over a week and hosted numerous activities with the theme of solidarity. Another one of the initiatives presented was a guided visit through a photography exhibit in the school. In addition to photographs of the previously mentioned agreement, the exhibit also showed photographs from the following agreements (AECID): \u201cImprovement of the quality of education, with special emphasis on teacher training in private and state schools, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo\u201d<\/a> which features a plan to improve education with special emphasis on the training of teachers and directors of public centers in Kinshasa; \u201cImprovement of water resources management in the agricultural sector to guarantee food safety in the Palestinian Territories and Jordan\u201d<\/a> which attempts to better the management of water resources in dry, rural zones of Jordan and Palestine, while considering that efficient water management will increase agricultural productivity and guarantee the alimentary security in said regions; \u201cImproving the standard of primary and secondary education in Palestinian Territories\u201d<\/a> which contributes to establishing homogenous quality standards in primary and secondary education and works to improve the technical and human capabilities of those in charge of educational centers through collaboration with the following organizations: schools, universities, Department of Education, UNRWA, local NGO, and parent and student associations.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/promocionsocial.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/TALLER_VOL_TORREVILANO_aj.jpg\")
