Last April 30th the project Educational Innovation Model \u201cTutorial Learning System\u201d for the Working, Social and Communal Development for Young People in the Rural Areas of San Jos\u00e9 de Cusmapa and San Isidro de Bolas in Nicaragua <\/a>finished. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Thanks to this project, co-funded by the Bancaja Foundation<\/strong> and the Family Association Padre Fabretto<\/strong>, 393 young people<\/strong> could exercise and enjoy their education rights through a \u201cTutorial Learning System\u201d (SAT in Spanish). This innovative program for secondary education students in the rural area offers the theoretical and practical training they need in order to get involved in the economic life of their communities, and also set the ground for sustainable economic initiatives from which they can make a profit (beekeeping, agriculture, chicken breeding, baking and so on). <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Within this framework, 54 tutors and education-related staff<\/strong> from both areas were trained in both towns, so they could put the model into practice inside the class and, as a consequence, make it last successfully for a long time.
Furthermore, and with the funds of the Bancaja Foundation, specific didactic materials were designed and edited, which will be fundamental for the implementation of the \u201cTutorial Learning System\u201d in other schools. <\/p>\n

Given that the students that could benefit from this system shared what they have learnt among students, families and members of the community, who hopefully will embrace it and put it into practice as well, this project also had an indirect positive impact on more than 1,200 people<\/strong>.
