Once again, on September 8, the Social Promotion Foundation joins in celebrating the Day of Cooperating Persons<\/strong> to commemorate and pay tribute to the fundamental work of professionals who fight for social justice, sustainable development and the eradication of poverty in the most disadvantaged places in the world.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of this day, Yacoub Tahhan, our Head of Mission in Jerusalem, shares his experience of working in Palestine. The current working conditions for aid workers in this territory are made more difficult by the conflict in Gaza. Therefore, their contribution is more important than ever in the fight for a more hopeful and fair future for the most vulnerable people who are also suffering from the war.<\/p>\n

In this context of war, our work and commitment to Palestine has not only been maintained but has been strengthened. An example of this is the campaign \u2018SOS: Rebuild hope in Gaza\u2019<\/a>, through which we work for the reconstruction of the Holy Family School, which is serving as a refuge for minorities suffering the consequences of the war and whose facilities have also been seriously damaged as a result of various attacks and bombings.<\/p>\n
