Phase 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This project represents a second phase of another\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/promocionsocial.org\/en\/portfolio-items\/incrementados-los-sistemas-de-produccion-eficiente-y-sostenible-de-los-recursos-hidrobiologicos-de-la-bahia-de-sechura-en-terminos-de-igualdad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous project<\/a>\u00a0financed by the Regional Governmente of Madrid and completed in November 2021, to continue working with fishermen, mariculturists and their families in the implementation of comprehensive strategies that lead them to improve processes production, to diversify production, and to improve management in the face of the challenges of natural disasters and climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the efficient management of production units and the diversification of aquaculture and its commercialization in the markets will help improve the income level of mariculturists and their families, food security and the preservation of the ecosystem through good practices and proper management of resources to make them sustainable over time.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, work will be done on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Productive activities, with advice on the cultivation and management of the scallop shell (Argopecten purpuratus) in a suspended system, to establish the economic-productive balance that allows the associations of mariculture fishermen to manage their cultivation areas and generate the seed sustainably.<\/li>\n<li>Development of productive diversification to carry out pilot experiences of species such as the macroalgae \u201cmococho\u201d or \u201cyuyo\u201d (Chondracanthus chamissoi) in a suspended system, and the management of the resource \u201cfin clam\u201d (Transennella pannosa), with permanent monitoring, which will help determine the viability of its cultivation in Sechura Bay, and transfer it to the artisanal fishing sector.<\/li>\n<li>Raise awareness of gender equality, promoting the development of skills, the generation of knowledge and the participation of women in productive activities, in order to achieve better economic opportunities.
