The proposed intervention is a 12-month project aimed at providing multidisciplinary support to rural households led by women in the communities of Mazari’ al-Nubani, Qarawet Bani Zaid, and Aroura, located in the Ramallah Governorate, West Bank (Palestine), amidst a prolonged humanitarian crisis. The main objective is to enhance the protection and resilience of one of the most vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n
To achieve this, the project will focus on creating home gardens and promoting good agricultural practices through the distribution of supplies, advice, and training. This initiative aims to reduce the dependence of affected families on external aid and strengthen their ability to withstand and adapt to situations of chronic isolation, conflict, and the impact of climate change.<\/p>\n
The project will prioritize direct support to households where women are the primary breadwinners and face food insecurity. Self-sufficiency will be promoted through the production of nutritious food via poultry management and home gardening.<\/p>\n
Additionally, sustainable soil and water resource management will be encouraged, with any potential surpluses used for bartering between communities and selling products to local women\u2019s cooperatives. This will generate additional income and strengthen community resilience and the local economy.<\/p>\n
