ASIA
The objective of the Foundation’s projects in the Palestinian Territories has been a sustainable and equitable rural development, with the equal participation of women. To achieve this, interventions that directly affect the correct management and access to water resources and promote agricultural development in the West Bank and Gaza have been carried out, ensuring also the food security of the population and strengthening resilience in rural communities. These projects have had the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), Regional Government of Valencia and the City of Madrid.
The approval of a new AECID Agreement in 2018 will continue to guarantee this work in the West Bank and Gaza, specifically in the rural communities of Nablus and Khan Younis, for the next four years.
In Lebanon, education has been a priority. In the school field, the implementation of the social sports model of the Real Madrid Foundation, for the third year in a row, has allowed students from two Lebanese schools to acquire values through sports. As for women, their vocational training
