of the Encyclical Populorum Progressio”, organized by the Dicastery for the Integral Human Development Service, whose objective was to deepen the perspectives Theological, anthropological and pastoral aspects of the encyclical, in particular, in relation to the work of those who act in favour of the promotion of the person, and to formulate guidelines for the activity of the new Dicastery.

SENSITIZATION INITIATIVES
Conferences
Throughout the year, Social Promotion Foundation has made and participated in several conferences and initiatives that help to know and raise awareness about the situation of refugees, as well as their work in favor of this group.
Thus, in February an informative session was held with the residents of the occupational center of the Nuestra Señora del Camino Foundation of Madrid; In April, the Foundation gave two workshops in a meeting with
young Europeans working in NGOs in Bulgaria, Hungary, Cyprus, and Greece, organized by the Senara Foundation as part of its “Welcome to Europe” project; and in May, invited by the Sant Pol de Mar City Hall, the Foundation offered a conference and gave an interview to the local radio “Radio Litoral” on this subject.
Also under this theme, Social Promotion Foundation has held awareness sessions in various schools in Madrid. For this, it participated in the school radio program “La Voz del Cole” prepared, directed
and presented entirely by sixth-grade students of the San Miguel public school. Also, under the title “To what situations, problems, and injustices does a refugee face?”, the Foundation addressed the students of elementary and secondary school Las Tablas Valverde. Finally, an informative session was held with secondary students
from the IES Veredillas, in Torrejón de Ardoz, whose commitment materialized later, installing a solidarity stand in
the institute’s parties to raise funds in
Social Promotion Foundation, within the framework of the Latin America Forum that it has created in Rome, fosters meetings between Latin American diplomats and journalists to discuss current issues. In 2017, 6 meetings
were held to examine issues such as inter-American relations, migratory movements and the United States wall, the challenges and opportunities of the Spanish language in a globalized and digitized economy, or the advantages, weaknesses, and challenges of the Latin America after a decade of prosperity.
