CEMOFPSC Organized the Breakfast Meeting “Isis: the World out of Control”

The meeting took place in the NH collection Roma Giustiniano, Via Virgilio, in Rome

Last March 23rd, The Centre on Middle East Studies of the Foundation Social Promotion of Culture (CEMOFPSC) hosted a work breakfast under the title: “Isis: the World Out of Control”.

It aimed at giving an answer to the following question: what is really underneath the quick rising of the Islamic radicalism and fundamentalist violence that caracterizes the dramatic political and religious crisis in the Southern Mediterranean arab societies?

In order to do so, CEMOFPSC asked this question to two recognized geopolitical and religious experts: Professor Nicola Pedde, Director of the Research Centre in the Italian Ministry of Defense and the Islamic Egyptian, Jesuit priest Samir Khalil Samir, who wrote several essays on the topic, the last one published is “Islam and Western countries: challenges for living together” (Lindau, Torino, 2011).
