During the days leading up to Christmas, FPSC volunteer activities intensify

Families of Las Tablas Valverde School participated in the activities that were programmed in the framework of the family volunteering project that the FPSC coordinates together with the school APA (Parents Association) in the Residence Nuestra Señora del Camino, where people with intellectual disabilities live.

Last Saturday December 17th, families from the school accompanied our friends from the Residence to see a live Nativity scene and to live Christmas. Parents, mothers, children from 0 to 14 years, professionals of the Residence Nuestra Señora del Camino and the residents themselves participated in this great party.

The living Nativity scene was organized by the Santa María Benedicta de la Cruz- Edith Stein Parish. It consisted of fifteen scenes on the childhood of Jesus, and each one of them was mounted and represented by a family in the broadest sense of the term: parents, children, cousins, nephews, and friends. In total, more than two hundred people were involved in the representation.

Volunteers and residents walked one after the other scenes, participating and enjoying to the fullest.

The way back to the residence was like a party and spontaneously all together sang carols.
