On March 20th 2014, FPSC, Foundation for the Social Promotion of Culture, organized its first distribution of mobility aids in Za’atri camp. FPSC is working in the Middle East since 1992 and promotes projects to face refugees’ urgencies, primarily with disabled people and other vulnerable Jordanian citizens (PwD). FPSC’s main activities include improvement of the social integration of people with disability, through provision of education, mobility aids and assistive devices or the removal of architectonical barriers. In Za’atri camp they are implementing activities with cerebral palsy (CP) children under the age of eighteen, making assessments, providing physiotherapy sessions and mobility aids.
At this distribution FPSC passed out items like, wheel chairs, wooden chairs, walkers, standing frames, medical shoes and other medical paraphernalia. During the distribution FPSC’s partner, Al-Hussein society, brought in two of their medical teams for a fitting. The medical teams assured that each child could use his/her mobility aid in a safe and comfortable manner. Straps were attached to the medical chairs and standing frames, while adjustments were done to all the medical shoes and other equipment. While one team handled 
adjusting the new equipment to the different needs the other team assessed new cases and took measurements for the next distribution. The process ran smoothly and refugees walked off of FPSC site pleased. More than 38 mobility aids have been distributed, and 5 new cases have been assessed during this daily visit. FPSC team could share this special experience with UNHCR representatives and hope future collaborations to continue sharing these special moments.
