FPSC participates in the Expo Milano 2015, in the context of the Conference “Faith, Agriculture, Food and the Environment: a New Concept of Development to Fight against Hunger”

FPSC participated in the conference “Faith, Agriculture, Food and Environment: a New Concept of Development to Fight against Hunger” that took place last 27th-28th of June in Milan, inside the Expo Milano 2015.

During the conference, FPSC, who is member of the Board of Directors of the NGO Forum for Catholic Inspiration in Rome, which collaborated in the organization of the meeting, showed the documentary video “Improvement of the Water Resources Management in the Palestinian Territories and Jordan” for strengthening food safety in those territories. The documentary shows the impact of this FPSC project in the area.

This is the second meeting organized by the project Faith, Food & the Environment which gathers agricultural leaders, environmental scientists, and faith representatives to explore how faith can inform modern agriculture and the vocational aspects of agriculture for the 21st century.

After the first meeting at the Saint Thomas University in Minnesota, the Expo Milano 2015 seemed the perfect setting for the second conference, as the theme for this year is the sustainable production of food and its motto “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”.
