The importance of the Family in the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda

On 27 April, Jumana Trad, President of the Social Promotion Foundation, participated as a speaker in the webinar “Families and the Sustainable Development Goals”, to reflect on how strong families can contribute to achieving the ambitious targets of the SDGs.

The webinar was the 13th edition of the “Fortifying Families” webinar series, sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, represented by the Latter-day Saint Charities in New York and Geneva, and the Office of European Union and International Affairs in Brussels, Belgium.

Families are the common thread running through all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). When families are strengthened, all of the SDGs become more achievable, and it could be argued that, without strong families, none of the SDGs will be achieved.
