The current distance learning imposed by the COVID-19 context in Lebanon is prioritising the teaching of basic subjects, especially in schools with fewer resources, leaving aside training in plastic arts, music and sport.
As the latter subjects are a crucial part of education and not a mere supplement, the aim of this project is to reintroduce them into the academic curriculum.
The project will therefore support the quality distance education programme of the three Paradis d’Enfants schools in the cities of Ghadir, Ghosta and Haret Sakher (Lebanon).
The current proposal aims to:
- Provide 13 families with internet connection and tablets to facilitate regular distance education for their children.
- Create an enhanced sports, music and visual arts programme through 72 distance learning sessions, delivered by 3 teachers who will motivate and help students to move, create and perform visual arts activities in a positive, fun and safe environment, with a positive impact on the physical, mental and social well-being of the students.
