At present, Venezuela is in a situation of high instability. Inflation has been a preponderant factor in the rise in basic needs prices, contributing considerably to the increase of the cost of basic products. This situation has also been aggravated by the seal of the Colombian border, the main trading partner due to their proximity. Likewise, the devaluation of the local currency against the dollar and the lack of foreign exchange for the acquisition of raw materials, affects the industrial sector of the country.
Given this situation, the Association of Art and Science launched in January an important initiative for the provision of food and medicines aimed at 350 families (approximately 2,000 people), who are in a situation of high vulnerability caused by the delicate state of the Venezuelan country.
