COVID-19 crisis and gender-based violence: adapting vocational training for the empowerment of young women

The overall objective is to contribute to the fight against gender-based violence by improving the living conditions of vulnerable young Bolivian women. To this end, the project foresees the strengthening of professional skills in the tourism and hospitality sector in accordance with the needs of the labour market in the post-COVID-19 context.

To this end, the project envisages:

The restructuring and implementation of a training programme in hospitality and gastronomy in line with the World Health Organisation for young women and micro-entrepreneurs;
The renovation of the CEFIM laboratory ‘La Especería’ (for practical training) in accordance with international hygiene standards to ensure the sustainability of activities in the future.
