The FPSC receives a delegation of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem at its headquarters in Madrid

Last November 4, the FPSC received Rev. Fr. Imad Twal, General Manager, and Henrique Abreu, Head of Office of Development Projects, of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem at its headquarters in Madrid.

During the course of the day, it was organized a meeting with diverse NGOs with presence and interest in the Middle East, where the PLJ could present their work in the Palestinian Territories, Israel, Jordan and Cyprus, and its fundamental role to guarantee the presence of Christians in the Middle East, despite the conflicts and difficulties, in order to seek synergies and possible avenues for future collaboration.

The FPSC and the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem have together made 27 projects for development cooperation and humanitarian aid in the Palestinian Territories and Jordan since 1995, emphasizing education as a priority sector, with the creation, rehabilitation and upgrading of educational infrastructure and teacher training to achieve greater quality of education at all levels. Also actions have been made for the protection of minorities, such as care for people with special needs, by building health infrastructure, and for the Christian, with housing construction, which has also allowed the creation of jobs.
