HUmANITARIAN AID
During 2018, Social Promotion has continued the humanitarian work that began in 2013, due to the war in Syria. Your help has been directed to the Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon, and the vulnerable local population of these countries.
In Lebanon, in consortium with International Medical Corps UK (IMC) and Première Urgence Internationale (PUI), the Foundation has worked to improve access to health services for Syrian refugees and other vulnerable populations. Specifically, the Foundation has been responsible for the provision of mental health services and psychosocial support from its specialized clinic in Zahle (Beqaa Valley). This project is funded by the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis “The MADAD Fund”, which in 2018 has accommodated a new component: disability, whose activities will start in 2019.
IRAq:
Social Promotion has continued to lend its support, with private donations, to displaced refugees in Baghdad as a result of the conflict in Iraq.
SYRIA:
Thanks to the financial support of private donations, Social Promotion has supported its work with the Syrian refugee population in the Jordanian camps of Za’atari and Azraq and host communities in Jordan and Lebanon. promocionsocial.org/en/siria/

In Syria, a project financed by Mondo Unito has been completed, which has tried to facilitate reconciliation and peace among the people of Aleppo.
Also, thanks to the Regional Government of Valencia, the humanitarian aid activity of the Foundation has been developed in Guatemala, to give a response of first necessity to those affected by the eruption of the “Volcán de Fuego”.
Finally, in Venezuela, the Foundation, with private funds, has helped to the provision of medicines and food among the most vulnerable population in the central area of the country and the Caracas Metropolitan Area.
CAmPAIGNS
Another line of activity in the country has been the implementation of education programs for the inclusion of boys and girls with special needs, funded by the Humanitarian Fund of OCHA in Lebanon.
In addition, the Foundation has completed its work in Jordan, specifically in the Za’atari and Azraq camps and in the governorate of Mafraq, Zarqa and Balqa, where it has provided personalized medical care, distributed and maintained mobility aids, carried out inclusive activities, and sensitized about the reality and rights of people with disabilities.
