YOUTH AND WOMEN
“RUMBO AL ESTE” PROJECT
Social Promotion Foundation, through “Rumbo al Este”, supports social initiatives that promote professional development and the acquisition of abilities social skills among young people, as well as their commitment and active involvement in the needs of their environment. In short, their comprehensive training.
At present, more than 800 young people from 14 youth associations throughout Spain benefit from “Rumbo al Este”.
Professionalization of the Board of Directors of youth associations
In order that the management and direction of the youth associations are carried out in a more professional manner and achieve the achievement of their objectives, Social Promotion Foundation
increases and updates their training through follow-up actions and advice during the year.
Youth MUN Madrid
In the month of November, Social Promotion Foundation launched this initiative in which 64 young people between 15 and 17 years of age participate in the Regional Government of Madrid, carrying out simulations
of the United Nations (MUN models). Through this training experience, young women, representing UN member countries, learn different techniques of debate and negotiation and try to find solutions to specific problems that are part of the international agenda.
In the presentation of YMM, held at the Municipal Board of the Retiro district, Leticia García, social entrepreneur, and Victoria Suárez, director of the Pangea global platform community participated; both have experience in simulations of the United Nations.
European Volunteering Service (EVS)
During 2017, Social Promotion Foundation has developed its intercultural projects “Next Stop Europe” and “Enjoy Europe III”, which are part
of the European Volunteering Service (EVS) of the Erasmus + Program of
the European Commission. Young Europeans for 9 months carry out their volunteering by organizing intercultural workshops in English for children and adolescents of youth associations
with which the Foundation maintains a collaboration agreement so that they become aware of their European citizenship and open their minds to customs other than their own.

With the support of the Reina Sofía Foundation, Social Promotion Foundation promotes sports activities and an annual competition in Seville as a means to transmit values and skills
