With the support of the Valencia Provincial Council, we have launched a new awareness and global education project in schools and a migrant association in Valencia: #GOTAaGOTA.SUMAMOS. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the lack of access to clean water and sanitation in the Global South.
Guided by the 2030 Agenda and a human rights approach, we will carry out activities to help 5th and 6th-grade students understand this issue and encourage their commitment to a fairer world.
The first activity involves watching an illustrated audiovisual story about Jacinta, a bolivian girl living in a rural area, and the challenges she faces daily. Afterward, students will participate in a workshop on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on SDG 6 (Water and Sanitation), followed by a drawing competition on this theme.
At the migrant association, participants will also watch Jacinta’s story and take part in a painting activity inspired by the topic.
