Aware of the importance of employment for the socio-labour integration of refugees, on June 17 the Social Promotion Foundation signed a Collaboration Agreement with the Altaviana Vocational Training School, through which it has agreed to finance a cooking course aimed at 15 Ukrainian refugee women in the city of Valencia, thanks to a management carried out through a Foundation donor.
The selection of the students has been carried out by the Together for Life Foundation, which has a long history in actions with Ukrainian refugees.
The objective of the course that began on June 27 is the training and social inclusion of the students through their labor insertion.
With a duration of 50 theoretical-practical hours taught at the Altaviana Vocational Training School facilities and 80 hours of internships to be carried out in companies in the sector, the training is specifically aimed at covering the positions of:
- Kitchen assistant in bar, restaurant, central kitchen or catering kitchen.
- Kitchen assistant in food establishments, takeaways, schools, communities, hospitals, residences, nursing homes, etc.
At the end of the course, a diploma of completion of the course will be delivered and the training will be accredited to each student.
