Our Social Promotion Foundation presents its 2023 Activity Report.
During this year, we have continued working on the promotion and defense of the dignity of the most vulnerable people worldwide, deeply committed to social justice, equal opportunities, and sustainable development.
In 2023, we have been present in 18 countries across the Middle East and Asia (Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Israel, the Palestinian Territories, and India), Latin America (Venezuela, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia), Africa (Egypt, Cameroon, Kenya, and Ethiopia), and Europe (Spain and Italy). In these regions, we developed 31 projects.
Behind these figures, 158,258 people, through their effort and determination, have taken advantage of opportunities to become agents of their own change through our initiatives, improving not only their own lives but also those of their families and communities.
Thus, our work in international development cooperation has been broad and diverse, spanning various sectors and regions. In these projects, we have placed people at the center, focusing on crucial and varied areas such as job creation and entrepreneurship, agricultural and fisheries development, economic growth, equal opportunities between men and women, environmental protection, social cohesion, the promotion of the circular economy, and the enhancement of health and education, among others.
Throughout 2023, we have also sadly witnessed several humanitarian crises and armed conflicts that have further complicated the international context. Natural disasters, such as the earthquake in Syria, or devastating wars like the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, have driven us to strengthen our humanitarian aid efforts to help and support those affected by these disasters.
In the same vein, we want to highlight the Foundation’s efforts to promote education for development and global citizenship, with activities aimed at encouraging the awareness and commitment of young people to less privileged and different realities, as well as to building a fairer world for all.
Without the collaboration and generosity of all our funders, partners, donors, and volunteers, the results outlined in this Annual Report would not have been possible. Therefore, we extend our heartfelt thanks for their invaluable support, which is essential and fundamental for us to continue our work and enable many people around the world to continue being the protagonists of their own development toward a better life.
