Help them remain in Lebanon
Support the continued work of the Litani Cultural Centre and the NGO Nation Station
The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East is hitting Lebanon particularly hard. Since 2 March 2026, the situation has worsened, and remaining in the country has become a constant challenge. In addition to external threats, Lebanon is also facing a delicate and tense internal situation, marked by the growing economic and social crisis that the country has been experiencing since 2019.
Of the 4 million people living in Lebanon, more than one million have been forced to leave their homes. More than 62,000 houses have been destroyed by bombing, and 2,846 people have lost their lives in this brutal conflict.
What for us may be considered a small expense — for example, around €20 — is invaluable support for the Litani Cultural Centre and the NGO Nation Station, helping them to remain in Lebanon.

Litani Cultural Centre
In the midst of these difficulties, the Litani Cultural Centre — a project of the local NGO PRODES, promoted by our Fundación Promoción Social since its beginnings — is struggling to continue its work supporting older people and providing training for women to access decent employment and social inclusion. It also carries out small-scale actions aimed at preventing tensions and internal conflict, with one very clear goal: building peace.

Nation Station
The NGO Nation Station works tirelessly to support communities displaced as a result of the current conflict. Since it was created in August 2020, in the aftermath of the Beirut explosion, its work has focused on supporting people in situations of extreme vulnerability by providing them with food. To do so, its hundreds of volunteers prepare thousands of meals that are distributed every day.
However, in the face of the current severe crisis, both the supply of raw materials from local producers and the support provided by volunteers are being seriously affected.

SOS: The need to remain in Lebanon
The critical situation and ongoing war in Lebanon are causing prices to rise constantly, while needs continue to increase. With inflation at 14%, the purchasing power of the Lebanese population is at a minimum. Both the Lebanese Government and the organisations working in the country are completely overwhelmed by this reality.
Among them, the Litani Cultural Centre and Nation Station need to respond to the extraordinary needs generated by the conflict in order to continue supporting people facing situations of particular and extreme vulnerability.
