COVID-19 crisis and gender violence: adaptation of professional training to enhance the autonomy of young women

The general objective is to contribute to the fight against gender violence, improving the living conditions of young Bolivian women in vulnerable situations. To this end, the strengthening of professional skills in the tourism and hospitality sector is foreseen in accordance with the needs of the labor market in the post-COVID-19 context.

To this end, the Project contemplates:

  • The restructuring and implementation of a training program in hospitality and gastronomy in line with the World Health Organization for young women and micro-entrepreneurs;
  • The renovation of the CEFIM laboratory “La Especería” (for practical training), in accordance with international hygiene standards to guarantee the sustainability of activities in the future.
