The leadership and awareness-raising programme Youth MUN Madrid, promoted by Social Promotion Foundation, was created in 2017 with the aim of training adolescents for intercultural dialogue and the joint search for solutions through their participation in the Model United Nations (MUN).
These Youth MUN Madrid four editions, thanks to the support mainly of the “la Caixa” Foundation and public institutions, has benefited more than 560 young dolescents of school age, 40 facilitators and 80 volunteers involved in the organisation from 12 cities in Spain and 4 from other countries around the world.
Thanks to the collaboration in 2020-2021 of the FABRE Foundation, the participating groups have designed more than 25 ideas for social action through the SDGs.
Currently, Youth MUN Madrid offers young teenagers the possibility to apply during the school year to its online programme and support training sessions and to conclude this learning experience with their participation in the annual 3-day Conference in the city of Madrid.
