Social Promotion Foundation joins the celebration of the World Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22nd.
Climate change and the destruction of biodiversity threaten the health of our ecosystems, and with it, the health of the Earth and its inhabitants. For this reason, the United Nations promotes action in harmony with nature, seeking a sustainable economy that allows the development and care of both people and the environment.
Sustainable Development Goal 13 of the 2030 Agenda reminds us of the importance of raising awareness of the global Earth crisis: Adopt urgent measures to combat climate change and its effects.
In Palestine and Ethiopia, countries where we implement our agreements financed by AECID, food security depends directly on agricultural production. Consequently, at the Foundation we are aware of its vital importance and we are working to achieve clean and renewable energies.
In the agreement that the Foundation develops in Palestine, local technicians are trained in the field of solar energy and, in this way, we also contribute to the sustainable resilience of its inhabitants. In addition, clean energy systems are implemented, through the installation of solar panels such as those in Khan Younis, in order to extract the water needed for the crops.
In Ethiopia, we focus on making productive resources accessible and, at the same time, on training agricultural workers to manage them sustainably.
